NHLBI Announces Realignment of Its Sickle Cell Disease Program

The NHLBI's National Sickle Cell Disease Program is a major research effort dedicated to improving the lives of patients with sickle cell disease. Dr. Elizabeth G. Nabel, Director, NHLBI, announced today a series of innovations to realign its support for outstanding research that will continue to yield benefit for Sickle Cell Disease patients.
