NHLBI Logos

The new NHLBI logo is designed as a single unit comprised of a logo mark (a red heart surrounded by two lungs, encased in a red blood cell) plus the name of the Institute. An alternate version includes the tagline People Science Health. Consistent use of the new logo format will enhance our communications with the public.

The logo is available in three different styles:

  • the Standard Signature
  • the Stacked Signature
  • and the Linear Signature

Each version is available in the red/blue, grayscale, reversed format, with and without the tagline, and is offered in a variety of file formats. Note that commas are intentionally omitted from the Institute's name and tagline to enhance the graphical image. When the Institute's name or tagline appears in text, the commas must be included.

For detailed guidance, please refer to the NHLBI Identity Guidelines. For questions about the use of the new logo on the Web, contact the NHLBI Web Manager. For all other logo questions, contact the NHLBI Office of Communications.
